Bristol RE 'Mini' Running Day (8) - 3 November 201…

The title of this series will puzzle those viewing three of the photographs in it but former London Transport MB90 was indeed part of Hampshire Buses' Bristol RE 'Mini' Running Day in and around Winchester. The MCW bodied AEC Merlin, SMM90F is seen standing at The Broadway, Winchester. TZ70_P1010382C

London Transport Saunders bodied AEC Regent III RT1396/KXW495. Heavy rain greeted my arrival at the Swansea Bus Museum and raindrops on the lens are visible in this picture. In this rare case, I think they add to the atmosphere of the photograph. Please also see my album notes and the fleet list at www.swtpg.org.uk/fleet.htm for vehicle histories. 200_2_P1050652

The Future of M67 (4) - 9 July 2015

09 Jul 2015 161
My short series today brings an interesting story (I hope) to bus enthusiasts. This ex-London Transport MCW Metrobus M67/WYW67T is today a long way from its former haunts as it sits on land at the rear of a disused petrol station near Trewint on the A30 in Cornwall. It is reported to be driveable but has a future as a themed diner ahead of it. The plan is to attach the catering trailer seen behind it to the nearside where, it appears, an aperture has already been prepared. The modified vehicle would subsequently remain stationary. I am grateful to the owner of this site for access, permission to photograph and for an interesting chat about lots of things including his former employment at Aldenham. 200_2_P1050827
