The words 'Mobil Mart' can still be discerned on this soon to disappear feature of Goods Way, Kings Cross. The historic branding is itself of interest because the Mobil petrol stations were bought by BP as long ago as 2000 during changes in the oil industry and this site closed as a BP. Following its history as an actual filling station, the site was used for so-called pop-up restaurants and events. Now, I believe, it is to disappear in the Kings Cross redevelopment. This view was made possible by the very welcome existence of a viewing platform at the top of the new King's Boulevard which, in turn, is next to a temporary theatre housing the latest London performances of 'The Railway Children'. 200_2_P1020500
