Delivery firm City Link went into administration on 24 December 2014 but, with timing that attracted understandable criticism, announced the fact only the next day, Christmas Day. One always has sympathy for those faced with job losses but perhaps a little more at a time of year when people might have made financial commitments affecting the year ahead.
