My visits to Palm Desert bring me great pleasure as both the public art and the pieces on display outside the various galleries change from year to year. It is not always possible to get a full shot of a work and, when it is not, one option is to put a detail of that work into a new context and, hopefully, create an interesting photograph. In the desert, there is no more appropriate context than the natural environment with its blue skies and stunning palms. In this image, 'Twist of Life' by Brian Schader is seen at Coda Gallery in that environment. The piece is in galvanised steel with rust patina base, aluminum, glass and stone. 200_2_P1010782
