Eleven months ago I documented the final stages of the demise of the Desert Fashion Plaza in Palm Springs in my 'Out of Fashion' albums. Now, from some of the same vantage points, I have photographed the early stages of construction of its replacement, the Palm Springs Promenade Mall. It is planned to include a Kimpton Hotel which might be an irritation to the adjacent Hyatt.
