Expo Walking Woman [detail] (3) - 22 October 2014

Almost all my photography is hand-held and/or available light so, inevitably, it faces challenges on occasions. None has been greater than to try to capture 'Expo Walking Woman, Cut-Out Figure' (1967) by Michael Snow, polished stainless steel over plywood core. The interior lighting in the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, Toronto coupled with that of the night time cityscapes in the background, presented a technical challenge beyond my abilities and my pictures convey only in a very peculiar way what I saw. Version française: 'Femme qui marche, Expo; figure découpée' (1967) de Michael Snow, acier inoxydable poli sur âme de contreplaqué. TZ30_P1020414
