By The Dawn's Early Light (6) Two days after the Parade of Planes and my modest night shots, I returned to the Palm Springs Convention Center to view the static display in the enticing dawn light. I think that special time of day has brought something to many of the pictures in this final part of my album. On the west side of the Convention Center were five aircraft on Calle Alvarado (plus Rutan Long-EZ N400EZ outside the building entrance). In this view Lancair Evolution N424SM is seen against a typical Palm Springs backdrop. 200_2_P1010608

The Night Shots (4) When night had fallen over Palm Springs, I returned to the Convention Center where the aircraft now stood on three sides. There was no specific provision for a night shoot so I practiced in the street and temporary lighting. The results are mediocre but, I think, a necessary part of the record of the event.
