'Thomas Cook 1808-1892' (1993) by James Walter Butler, bronze. This statue of travel pioneer Thomas Cook stands in London Road, Leicester. Cook's career as a travel organiser started in 1841 when he chartered a train to take a party from Leicester to a temperance rally in Loughborough.
