I like water towers in my photographs. They make an attractive subject as part of composition and can provide an element of framing. Their height, however, makes composition overall more difficult. I was eventually satisfied with this picture of EWS Class 08 08694 shunting mixed goods at Loughborough. (I imagine it might have been withdrawn before the takeover by DB Schenker). Semaphores are always a welcome part of any railway scene. 200_P1040649
