Starlings are amongst the most common birds in Britain but I like them. Quarrelsome, noisy, gregarious and the country would be poorer without them. This individual was making rather odd noises at Luton Airport and looked rather odd too so I thought it might have been in transition from juvenile to adult plumage. 200_P1040471
