With a long history behind it, the Fort Southwick of today is a rather unprepossessing building which provides park & ride facilities for the not-very-nearby Queen Alexandra Hospital. 70 years ago it housed a tunnel complex in which was situated the combined operations headquarters for Operation Overlord (D-Day). 200_P1030995C
