The Château de Caen (Caen Castle) was originally built c1060 by William the Conqueror (Guillaume le Conquérant) and was subject to various amendments and additions. Its grounds now house, amongst other things, the Musée des Beaux-Arts and its ramparts offer impressive views of the city and surrounding area. 200_P1020440
