These houses are part of the Smithwick Gardens development in Falmouth. The significance of these two (of nine in the development) is that they stand on the former site of Pollards Garage on Dracaena Avenue. My shot of 12 January 2012 was taken from almost exactly the same position. 200_P1020262C

Occasionally as I travel around, a particular building catches my eye and makes me wonder about its past. One such was Pollards Garage in Falmouth. It is pretty disfigured by the present day roller shutter but still evokes something. The shutter or at least the colour of it dates, I imagine, from its days as an ATS outlet. DSCF0316
