The long and worthwhile refurbishment of HMS Alliance at the Royal Navy Submarine Museum in Gosport is complete. Knowing this, we visited today but were surprised to find that this was the day of the official reopening and invited guests were dispersing before the public opening time of 1400. Confetti lay about the place and the boat looked fine in some hazy but bright Spring light. 200_P1020011
