I am not fond of locomotive nicknames but, somehow, 'Gronk' does convey the character of a Class 08 shunter especially when seen in what might kindly be described as 'used condition'. 08947 'Howie' was working at Eastleigh and just looks to me like a shunter should. The tight crop removes any obvious signs of the modern era so I thought I would try to add further to the timlessness of this shot with a b&w treatment. 200_P1000168M
