Twin Peaks Tunnel (1) - 17 November 2013

On Market Street in San Francisco (near Castro), enticing disused tracks disappear into (or emerge from) tunnels on either side of the street. The Twin Peaks Tunnel was opened on 3 February 1918 at which time it was one of the longest railway tunnels in the world. These kind of relics fascinate me and I would love to explore on a tour. This view is on the south side of Market. P1190325
