First and Last at Eastleigh (23) - 24 March 2014

Work, weather and the almost endless possibilities for other photographs mean that I can not hope to provide more than the occasional update at Eastleigh. The works site continues to accommodate First buses and it was, perhaps, a little surprising that some of those present today were already there on 26 December 2013 (earlier in my photostream). Nevertheless, to be thorough, I have produced multiple views of the latest line up.
This is Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart 42112/R612YCR.

Behind the Bike Shed - 24 March 2014

As primarily a documentary photographer, I constantly seek innovation in composition to try to maintain quality as well as the interest of my audience. Eastleigh Works continues to accommodate First buses as recorded by several Flickr contributors. In this shot, Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart 42112/R612YCR is interestingly framed by a bike shed.

The movement of First vehicles through Eastleigh railway works continues and I can not hope to record it all. I hope that my photographs can be viewed along with those of the others who are able to record these activities. On Boxing Day 2013, nine old vehicles were present of which six had their rear advertising removed. These are (left) Wright Axcess Floline bodied Scania L94UB 60219/T565BSS and Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart 42112/R612YCR.
