As 2013 drew to a close, construction began on the land of Newlands Farm, Fareham (off Tanners Lane) of an extensive solar farm. Its life is intended to be 25 years after which the land can be returned to agricultural use. In the meantime the design allows grazing to continue. The farmland extends from Newgate Lane to Mays Lane and it is difficult to appreciate the scale of the installation from ground level. This is just another record shot from Newgate Lane. One report suggests that the German-built array will form the shape of a Schnauzer (dog). 200_P1000137
