Roundhouse Park in Toronto houses the modestly sized but interesting collection of the Toronto Railway Museum. I have posted two previous series from when it was known as the Toronto Heritage Railway Centre. The magnificently restored Canadian Pacific DS10-b no. 7020 was previously seen in my photograph of 20 October 2014 in a different scheme. www.trha.ca/trha/canadian-pacific-7020/ 200_3_P1110112

I have posted two previous series from when it was known as the Toronto Heritage Railway Centre. This quaint vehicle looks as though it would like to have been an RRV but seems to be a much simpler adaptation of a road vehicle style cab to a bogie base with an improvised flatbed. Any further information would be welcome. Location: Roundhouse Park, Toronto 200_3_P1100800

Roundhouse Park in Toronto houses the modestly sized but interesting collection of the Toronto Railway Museum. I have posted two previous series from when it was known as the Toronto Heritage Railway Centre. I was more than miffed that this beautiful and unusual locomotive is fenced off quite so tightly. In the circumstances, I am pleased with the photograph I managed. This is an 0-4-0 compressed air locomotive from 1906 which was operated by Plymouth Cordage of Welland, ON. It was built by H.K. Porter Inc. of Pittsburgh, PA. The high risk of fire in the rope (cordage) factory precluded the use of a conventional steam locomotive. It was retired in 1956 and replaced, rather prosaically, by forklifts. Location: Roundhouse Park, Toronto 200_3_P1100784

The excellent Toronto Heritage Railway Centre in Roundhouse Park had been slightly reorganised since a September 2012 visit so I took new photographs. Privately owned Baldwin DS44-1000 CP 7069 was previously under the coaling tower. 200_2_P1010025
