I have a natural affection for Class 33, a staple of my boyhood Southern Region, especially when I was able to venture as far as Eastleigh. D6535 looked in pretty good condition at Loughborough. 200_P1040661

This is the scene which greeted me at platform level at Loughborough Central, Great Central Railway. In shot (from camera) are Class 33 D6535, Deltic D9016 'Gordon Highlander', Class 27 5401, Class 47 D1705 'Sparrowhawk' and Class 45 45041 'Royal Tank Regiment'.
