Village Underground (3) - 7 February 2015

My photographs of the most well known part of Village Underground in Shoreditch take their place amongst the thousands already in existence. The research which inevitably followed taking the pictures has given me new insight into this now famous London landmark. The Jubilee Line coaches here are two of four on a site acquired to provide office and studio space for artists. The site itself is part of a disused railway viaduct which carried the route to and from Broad Street. 200_2_P1020778

Legends Never Die - 7 February 2015

The viscerally exciting landscape of Shoreditch is punctuated by street art in quantities hard to absorb and harder, in some cases, to photograph. This piece marked 'Legends Never Die' references the second album by rapper R.A. The Rugged Man (R A Thorburn) who is depicted in New York Yankees clothing. In this shot, I like the intrusion of the CCTV camera. 200_2_P1020771
