I have not, as far as I recall, previously travelled to the end of route 30 at Hackney Wick. The route terminates on the opposite side of Chapman Road and the buses turn at a nearby roundabout to stand before their return journeys to the West End. Tower Transit Alexander Dennis Enviro 400/Tridents DN33647/SN11BSO and 33790/SN13CGZ are seen here at the Chapman Road stand. 33790 had arrived some minutes before 33647 moved forward and, as it did so, a third bus arrived. This, I think, says less about the frequency of the service (although that is good) and more about the inaccuracy with which it is run. 33790 is wrongly listed in two online versions of the fleet list as SN 12 CGZ. 200_3_P1020169E

My followers will know that I find the current London bus scene pretty tedious and that it requires special surges of enthusiasm to make me record it. Every now and then documentary dedication defeats deadly dullness and I add a little to the record. To be fair, the actual service seems both intensive and, largely, effective as I saw early on a Sunday morning when countless buses were running in Islington. Relatively light traffic (for the area) made photography easier and I saw vehicles from no fewer than four operators. This is Tower Transit Enviro 400 DN33633/SN11BOU on route 30 towards Marble Arch at Angel. 200_2_P1020848
