Ventimiglia/Vintimille is where the French/Italian border blurs especially in these days of freedom of movement within (most of) the EU. French trains are as common as Italian examples with regular services leaving for the neighbouring country. The Italian services tend to be locomotive powered (push/pull with driving trailers) and the French TER services operated by multiple units. In this view are three units in standard Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur colours. The red and white unit in the background has similar branding with the addition of Principauté de Monaco titles.
