Sanctuary (2) 'Gromit Unleashed' is a public art event to be held in Bristol over the summer of 2013. It is in aid of the Bristol Childrens Hospital. 80 Gromits around Bristol and further afield have been decorated by celebrities and will be auctioned at the end of the event. On our main Gromit hunting visit to the city photography was difficult because it was the school holidays and the character is rather more attractive to parents and children than (the Southampton) rhinos. This example is 'Poetry in Motion' decorated by Joanna Lumley and is now on display at Bristol Cathedral after being vandalised within 12 hours of its original display a short distance away on College Green. Displayed outside during the day, the sculpture has to be locked up overnight. I would not normally post a picture with visible evidence of a fence or similar structure but this is included for effect to emphasise the predicament of this Gromit. X20_DSCF1821
