The curiosities of any one city could keep a camera busy for many years. As I move around a lot, I can barely keep up with everything I want to record and post. I just hope it is effectively catalogued. This is one of the strangest sights (and sites) in Southampton. A brick wall and gate protect a piece of derelict ground, one side of which is delineated in stone by a portion of the city's old walls. The wall on Canal Walk contains, inexplicably, this stone set above a letterbox aperture through which can be seen the tall grass behind. TZ30_P1010021
