One of the most common sights in the skies above Lee on Solent is that of gliders being towed. This low definition picture simply records an everyday event. In this case, Chipmunk G-BAVH is towing Schleicher K 8B G-DDJB. 200_P1030401C

The Classic Air Force, housed in the former Nimrod hangar at Newquay Airport (St Mawgan) preserves and, in some cases, flies numerous aircraft many of which were previously owned by Air Atlantique and displayed at Airbase Coventry. The very striking black Chipmunk G-APLO is seen in front of Varsity WJ945/G-BEDV. X20_DSCF2203

This is today's 'fail'. After tens of thousands of photographs I still end up with the occasional unintended crop. The other crops today (with one, more tolerable, exception) were intentional. However, I thought Chipmunk G-APLO, last photographed at Coventry, worthy of inclusion even in a less than complete frame. X20_DSCF2204
