More than four years ago, I took a photograph from a similar pov and, since then, have been resigned to generally increasing fuel prices and a substantial difference between the prices of petrol and diesel. The last quarter of 2014 saw several unexpected (to me) falls in the pump prices and now, in early 2015, the diesel price at ASDA Fareham is slightly less than it was at the time of that earlier picture and the petrol much less as the differential is still in place. 200_2_P1020308C

This photograph of ASDA Fareham has been brought out of my archive to set the scene for the next in sequence. Of note were the prices, always low at ASDA, and the low differential between petrol and diesel. I noted on 9 November 2011 that the differential had expanded to 8p a litre.
