The increasing number of electric vehicles has certainly given me something to muse over. This Citroën Berlingo Electric was in an Islington car park and was by no means the only electric vehicle there. 200_3_P1120141CE

I am conscious of having documented motor vehicles much less than I would like and intend to remedy that to some great extent in 2020. I very much like the Citroën C5 Aircross (and the smaller C3) and this example was photographed in Ropley, Hampshire. 200_3_P1120131CE

Many people will disagree with me but I think the Citroën C5 Aircross is quite beautiful. Citroën cars have a long-established reputation for being distinctive in appearance and have, over the years, perilously challenged the ideas of what is aesthetically pleasing. In the C5, I think they have made something which is genuinely attractive whilst remaining distinctive and unmistakably Citroën. The top of the range model is highly specified and it is very nice to drive. 5300_DSC_0110E_PS

Helsinki proved to be a bit of a happy hunting ground for classic cars including my three favourites, the VW Beetle, the VW Camper and the Citroën 2CV. This Citroën SM, with a California plate, made a pretty remarkable sight at Hayward Executive Airport, CA. The vehicle would be over 40 years old but appears to be in immaculate condition. According to my research, 12920 were made between 1970 and 1975 with 2400 reaching the North American market in 1972 and 1973. 200_2_P1100329C

If I were to upload only one photograph from today, it would be this. The best pictures are often the unplanned ones and I was pleased to find this Citroën 2CV in Branksome as I drove from one intended destination to another on an unplanned route. The well preserved classic looks good in the autumn light and on a scattered bed of leaves. 200_2_P1020016
