Emerging from the Rogers Centre in only the fourth inning as the White Sox played a dull game against the Blue Jays, we were surprised to see that a sun which had been not much in evidence during the day now found its way between the tall buildings of Toronto to illuminate others in its last minutes. Another illustration of the reasoning behind my exhortation to 'look up'. I also like to look through or beyond, to combine subjects in a single image. This after all is how we 'see' the constellations, imagined groups of stars which are, in reality, nowhere near each other. One of my mottoes in photography is 'look up'. When we do so, it adds so much to what we see. In Toronto, ones eyes are drawn from almost any angle to the CN Tower of which there are, undoubtedly, countless photographs. Here the city landmark is seen in juxtaposition with The Power Plant, an art gallery which was, in fact, a power plant until 1980. This view is from the Harbourfront Centre. 200_2_P1010125

A relatively recent addition to Toronto's CN Tower/La Tour CN is this attractive portico. 200_2_P1010002
