The mind-numbing redness of the London bus scene is relieved only by the vinyl wraps on many of the New Routemasters but the service buses of today still have to be recorded for a future when they no longer exist. My followers will know that I find the current London bus scene pretty tedious and that it requires special surges of enthusiasm to make me record it. Every now and then documentary dedication defeats deadly dullness and I add a little to the record. To be fair, the actual service seems both intensive and, largely, effective as I saw early on a Sunday morning when countless buses were running in Islington. Relatively light traffic (for the area) made photography easier and I saw vehicles from no fewer than four operators.
