Pili Palas Nature World/Byd Natur. Anglesey/Ynys Môn. Ernie is one of two Kunekune at Pili Palas. Ernie and his friend Bert were very sociable with each other, Bert coming over, amidst much grunting, from his spot in the shade to rub noses and then have a pig cuddle. P1180431

Bert - 1 July 2013

02 Jul 2013 166
Pili Palas Nature World/Byd Natur. Anglesey/Ynys Môn. Bert is one of two Kunekune at Pili Palas. He is, in fact, Bert #2 as his predecessor died after ingesting a plastic bottle top left carelessly (or even, perhaps, intentionally) where he could eat it. Bert and his friend Ernie were very sociable with each other, Bert coming over, amidst much grunting, to Ernie's spot in the sun to rub noses and then have a pig cuddle. P1180430

Turtle/Crwban - 1 July 2013

02 Jul 2013 127
Pili Palas Nature World/Byd Natur. Anglesey/Ynys Môn. This is one of those photographs which comes out even better than hoped. It was carefully composed (as turtles don't move around quite as quickly as, say, meerkats) but it has still come out better than some taken with equal care on another day with mixed results. 02 Jul 2013 155
Pili Palas Nature World/Byd Natur. Anglesey/Ynys Môn. Many of the birds in the Pili Palas aviary are constrained only by the outer structure and not by individual cages. This budgerigar seemed quite playful and flew across the space to remain in the open for only a couple of minutes before playing peek-a-boo with us and our cameras. P1180426
