This is a little something to provide you with relief from Gromits and rhinos. They are hippos.... These happy hippos at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway were, as far as I can tell, in plain fibreglass until Bristol artist Benjamin Jones was commissioned in 2012 to paint them.

The idea of so many benches and deckchairs is, presumably, that people sit on them. I don't like people in my photographs so perhaps I was lucky that it was not a particularly nice day. Even so, I had to wait a while to avoid pedestrians, unwanted cars in the background and more birds than actually appear in this shot. Cribbs Causeway, Bristol. X20_DSCF1354
