On a recent visit to a friend's home, I was absolutely fascinated by a (partially) costumed mannequin, a relic from her daughter's project and, subsequently, a gift. It now stands as a rather eerie presence in one corner of a room and, from first sight, ideas and titles flowed through my mind. This, then, is part of one my occasional creative flights of fancy. I am rather taken with mannequins and the possibilities they provide for photographs. I have used them occasionally before always in a general (non-studio) setting. This example in Debenhams, Southampton had both the lighting and the background to suggest a pleasingly simple photograph. 200_P1000183
