An unplanned and very happy visit to the Kennet & Avon Canal at Aldermaston inspired me beyond the obvious canal scenes. Within only a few metres of our parking space, I was able to find all sorts of subjects and experiment as I went along. This is in the Information Centre. I simply loved the texture and colour of the background so that the ducks were almost secondary. 200_P1040408C

Bayfront Park, straddling the city line between Burlingame and Millbrae on San Francisco Bay, is a wonderful place to watch aircraft and birds. The low shores are teeming with birds who seem entirely unconcerned by the nearby multi-runway operation. This is the only reasonably successful shot of a series - the avocets will have to wait for another visit. P1190241
