Bath Green Park Station (6) - 21 August 2014

Bath Green Park Station was opened in 1870 by the Midland Railway and shared by the S&DJR from 1874. Having fallen into substantial disrepair after closure in 1966 (passenger)/1971 (goods), the building was eventually restored as part of an agreement with Sainsbury's who built a store on part of the site (left). The architecture is a joy to behold even with the varied present day uses including car parking beneath the trainshed. 200_P1050317
