Originally intended only as a reference shot, I am rather pleased with this picture of the Whitaker tanker 'Jaynee W' alongside Holland America Zuiderdam at Southampton. The vehicles carrier 'Florida Highway' provides an imposing backdrop. 200_3_P1050547C

Technical note: this shot was taken from Lee on Solent as part of a comparison between my FZ200 and my partner's recently acquired Nikon P900 which I share. I am mostly satisfied with the long shots from my very capable Panasonic which has a 24x zoom. The P900, still very hard to actually get, offers an extraordinary 83x (2000mm) and quality which made today's shot the winner. DSCN0024C
