Stay At Home (2) - 23 February 2021

Another horse was out in the field but the sunshine on this Tuesday was deceptive and it was cold in the wind, so this animal thought Boris' advice a good idea as the hardy exercised on Newgate Lane, Fareham. 200_4_P1010372R

Somewhere in a Field in Hampshire - 23 August 2020

I was on a photo sortie of an entirely different kind near Romsey when I came across two beautiful horses in a field. This is one of them. 200_4_P1000127E

The Past Recalled - 19 August 2018

I do not recall seeing this horse figure on any of my numerous previous visits to Bursledon Brickworks. It recalls the heyday of the Brickworks when horses were very much part of the workforce. 200_3_P1070409CE

Two Heads Are Better Than One - 15 August 2017

15 Aug 2017 126
Of the many things you would expect to see on the Bath Road near Heathrow, a costumed horse is probably not one. As we sat in the KFC it had been led to somewhere behind Starbucks. After our meal and as I watched aircraft approaching 27R, it was led back to its horse box and its costume was removed. DSCN9278E

Hatton Cross Horses (1) - 6 June 2015

In a field more or less under the approach to 27L at Heathrow and near the Myrtle Avenue viewing area, live several horses. 200_2_P1050056

Hatton Cross Horses (3) - 6 June 2015

In a field more or less under the approach to 27L at Heathrow and near the Myrtle Avenue viewing area, live several horses. This pair were caught in some sort of act of affection or grooming. Being stuck in a field on a busy road and subjected to aircraft noise for half the day probably is not what horses dream of. 200_2_P1050060

Jewett Horse - 4 November 2014

17 Nov 2014 125
Although I had visited El Paseo in Palm Desert only the previous afternoon, at least two new pieces had arrived on the median in the meantime. This horse in metal appears to be by Dixie Jewett but was not associated with the large Coda Gallery nearby. 200_2_P1010768

Sunday - a day of rest. I was on a photo mission in Lee on Solent. A horse in a nearby field looked on. 200_P1040180

Horsebox (detail) - 8 September 2013

Once again I am unable at the time of posting to find an attribution for the sculpture at the entrance in Cagnes-sur-Mer to the Hippodrome de la Côte d'Azur. Although the design is unusual, the piece is still very striking. TZ30_P1010200

Once again I am unable at the time of posting to find an attribution for this sculpture at the entrance in Cagnes-sur-Mer to the Hippodrome de la Côte d'Azur. Given the unusual design of the piece, I imagine I can be forgiven, at least temporarily, the pun......or should that be 'double entendre'? TZ30_P1010197

In A Field of His Own - 16 July 2013

16 Jul 2013 167
As I work on a considerable backlog of both images and editing, here is a simple something to uplift. I was walking to photograph the Islander next in sequence (if you are viewing my photostream) when both light and subject seemed right for this suburban portrait of a local horse in Lee on Solent.
