Architects have brought into the world many beautiful creations and many ugly ones too. Although an appreciation of architecture, perched precariously between engineering and art, is necessarily personal, I contend that this development in Camden Town is amongst the latter. Even allowing for the fact that I photographed it on a dull, rain-spattered today, one cannot imagine that this particular view of the Regent's Canal is ever cheery. The best that can be said of Grand Union Walk is that it is convenient for the supermarket as it is immediately adjacent to a Sainsburys in an even uglier building. 200_3_P1050280E
