The cattle egret is not uncommon around Fort Lauderdale where there is plenty of water but this example was rather persistently occupying a patch of pavement (sidewalk) in front of a Chinese restaurant on a busy road. It was not easily displaced but I had to ask it to move on......so I could photograph the restaurant. 200_3_P1040660R
