It is difficult these days to keep a track of the London skyline or to find a portion of it unpunctuated by the cranes which mark further construction. I have made clear my views on the architectural development of the capital in earlier notes. In this picture from an early Sunday morning walk, the centrepiece is the distinctive Leadenhall Building at 122 Leadenhall Street. TZ70_P1000917E

A dramatic sky - which did not in fact presage poor weather - enhanced the sunrise over Brittany in the general direction of Pont-Aven from the sea at Concarneau. A little creativity with editing suggests the apocalyptic future which might face us in uncertain times. TZ30_P1020368BA
