On a recent visit to a friend's home, I was absolutely fascinated by a (partially) costumed mannequin, a relic from her daughter's project and, subsequently, a gift. It now stands as a rather eerie presence in one corner of a room and, from first sight, ideas and titles flowed through my mind. This, then, is part of one my occasional creative flights of fancy. What do you see when you look at something? Do you see only what caught your attention or all that is around it too? I try to see new photographs in what I come across - something which might not have been done before (which is increasingly difficult). Palm trees are everywhere in the desert cities and this seemed to frame ideally the picture on the side of the Escada shop in Palm Desert. 200_2_P1010756M
