The former Hackney station came to my attention only recently and I went as soon as possible to photograph it. The 1870 station closed to passengers in 1944 and Hackney Central, now part of London Overground opened in 1980 a little to the west of the original. The earlier station building is now occupied by Oslo restaurant. 200_2_P1020811

Hippopotamus is a French chain of grill restaurants. This was taken in an idle dinner moment at the Caen branch (Les Rives de l'Orne). TZ30_P1020045

This unremarkable shot started life as an illustration for my restaurant review of the excellent Dish in Latimer Street, Romsey. I felt it to be a good enough record shot to be added to my Hampshire album. X20_DSCF2340
