Euston station is one of those which has had the soul sucked out of it by development, a process which started, arguably, in the 1960s and is by no means unique to north London. It's pre-HS2 condition is, frankly, a bit grubby.
Gone are the many Class 8x locomotives but it remains important to keep the record of our railways up to date.
Just over a month after the start of operations by Avanti West Coast, the Pendolinos I saw were still unbranded. 390049 is seen standing at platform 5.

Seen on the last day of operation of West Coast Mail Line services by Virgin Trains, Class 390 Pendolino 390151 stands at platform 4 of London's Euston station with the 1200 to Manchester Piccadilly, stripped of the operator's vinyls. Service by Avanti West Coast (FirstGroup/Trenitalia) would start the following day.
