A Sort of Homecoming The move of part of Type 1101 Standard VC10 G-ARVM from Cosford to Brooklands Museum brought it back to the Weybridge home from which it first flew on 8 July 1964. It is a shocking thing to see it in this condition but better than a complete scrapping. In my opinion, the VC10 is one of the most beautiful aircraft ever. 200_3_P1080716

1972 Land Rover 109 Series 3 JOR787L was formerly Fire 4 at Dunsfold with British Aerospace. The 1961 Bedford CA MFB724 was not originally with BOAC but has been restored as a crew bus by the British Airways Classic Vehicle Association. Both vehicles looked rather fine in the even light of a drizzly November day at Brooklands Museum. 200_3_P1080713C

This beautifully restored Bedford CA was not originally with BOAC. It was first registered in July 1961 although the placard dates the vehicle to 1960. The restoration as a crew bus was carried out by the British Airways Classic Vehicle Association and it is now at Brooklands Museum. 200_3_P1080711
