In an area dominated by First, I have been drawn photographically to their vehicles over those of other operators. I am also very attracted by the lines of the Optare Solo SR, illustrated here in this 53607/YJ14BKL, a recent delivery. This vehicle, seen at Fareham Bus Station, was operating a Sunday service on route 9 to Gosport Bus Station. To add interest to the composition it is seen with another 2014 delivery, Wright Streetlite 47582/SN14EBX which was standing idle during my visit. 200_P1050128C

First Wright Streetlite 63043/SK63KHU stands at Hilsea with fleet predecessor Plaxton Pointer Dennis Dart 42788/S678SNG. The Star branding in the Portsmouth area superseded the Zip branding on which services were operated by Wright Eclipse Urban vehicles. 200_P1010942C

I have taken advantage of this elevated view of First Wright Streetlite 63043/SK63KHU at Hilsea to highlight some of the vehicle side detail. The Hilsea depot sticker is self-explanatory; buses with The Star branding commemorate ships associated with Portsmouth. 200_P1010940C_OL
