This three car dmu at Minehead, West Somerset Railway, consists of (from camera) DMBS W51859 + TC W59678 + DMBS W51880. The three cars would once have been part of one or more Midland (M-prefix) 4-car Class 115 Derby Suburban units. The unit moved from platform 2 (here) to platform 1 to form the 1525 to Bishops Lydeard.
On a previous to Minehead on 29 January 2011, I saw the DMBSs as a pair and the TC (marked, as it still is, 'Buffet Car') separately.

The Warship Class was, on balance, my favourite of the three main diesel-hydraulic types. Mercifully examples of all three are preserved and all can be seen on the West Somerset Railway. D832 'Onslaught', seen here at Williton, is a shining example of the standard of preservation on the railway.

For someone who was not brought up with steam by virtue of geography rather than my date of birth, diesel preservation is of great interest. The standard of preservation on the West Somerset Railway is very high and is exemplified here, at Williton, by Class 33 D6575, Class 47 D1661 'North Star', Western Class D1010 'Western Fusilier' and (right) Class 14 D9526.
