Cotswold Airport (1) - 20 August 2021

Cotswold Airport (Kemble) is sad last resting place for many aircraft and the starting point of a new life for a few. It is a magnet for enthusiasts and photographers, especially those who 'like' to record the last days of an airframe or a change of identity. It is also a home, if sometimes only temporarily, to airframes which would be seen in the UK only rarely or not at all. The scene at Kemble changes steadily and a series from my latest visit illustrates all of the foregoing.
In the centre of this group is former Jet2 B757-200 G-LSAD.

Air Astana B757 P4-MAS approaching runway 27L at Heathrow.
Today's photographs were taken after a change of arrival runway from 09L to 27L (at about 1530) and from a different position to normal. I had moved from Myrtle Avenue, where I was watching 09R departures, to a position near Hatton Cross station.

Oasis of the Seas at Port Everglades - 25 January…

This is one of several shots in my recent series which juxtaposes one or more cruise ships at Port Everglades with aircraft from the steady stream towards runway 28R at FLL. Here, a Delta B757 is seen with Oasis of the Seas which would be the last of six ships to depart when it sailed for Nassau.
