This is another of those photographs that has been a long time in the making and again I have been very patient. I have seen this former Centrebus East Lancs Omnidekka bodied Scania N94UD, M600ELK, several times but so far only in poor light or when I could not afford to stop. Now operated by Portsmouth City Coaches, it has to come quite a long way from it Southbourne home to perform its contract work for Swanmore College from this pick-up point in Park Gate, Hampshire. Xelabus now has a number of East Lancs bodied Scania N94UD (OmniDekkas) in its busy fleet. Two examples, 553/J8XEL (rear) and 550/YN05WFB are seen in Market Parade, Havant in connection with Rail Replacement services. This location, used before for the same purpose, is overflow parking as the loaded buses turn in and depart from the station forecourt. I very much like Xelabus and am pleased for its evident success but I do find it difficult to follow the movement around its fleet of the distinctive number plates. 200_3_P1100727CE
