The BA B747-400 has been a part of my working and travelling lives and I contend to this very hour that the sight of one in the turn on a SID is unsurpassed in aviation. As of 19 May 2020, well into the coronavirus crisis, there were reported to be 40 British Airways aircraft stored at Bournemouth comprising 13 A319s, 16 A320s, 6 A321s and 5 B747-400s. To see them was a sobering and emotional sight. The B747-400s included (l-r) G-CIVU, G-CIVC, G-CIVP and G-CIVW. TZ70_P1020223CE
