John Oram's photos with the keyword: Class 121

As restrictions continue and we crawl on hands and knees towards various milestones, I have turned again to my archive. On previous occasions, I decided not to scan certain pictures because of quality, composition or lack of accompanying information. Over recent years, I have improved my editing techniques (you might not agree) and I can better recover some of my older images even if the composition is not always what I would accept today. This really is a classic memory from nearly 40 years ago (as I post). Class 121 Pressed Steel MBS was introduced as a single car (W55035) in 1960 and was seen its role as ADB975659*, a route learning car at Marsh Junction, Bristol. *The 1981 Ian Allan Combined Volume notes this as T DB975659 but this is not consistent with my notes from the time. Class 117 (Pressed Steel) and Class 121 (also Pressed Steel) dmus at Eastleigh. The Class 121 Bubblecar is W55028; the three cars in the Class 117 are W51346, W59486 and W51388. The formation arrived from the Swanage Railway earlier in the day hauled by Class 33 D6515 'Lt Jenny Lewis RN' which later returned to Swanage. 200_2_P1000032M
